A lot was going through my mind when I created this brand. I was just a 20 years old college student trying to figure out what life is all about, I was very confused. I did not know what career path I wanted to take, where I wanted to work, what I was doing in college but I knew I wanted something great to come out of my life. In the midst of all that, I was missing home and far from home too, just maybe if I had my family right there in arms reach, the confusion would somehow disappear. I was thinking about how others probably feel the same way and if there was a solution to all this. I decided to create my baby proVpac, a brand that understands the importance of home. Home can mean different things to different people but home to me means two things: Family and my place of origin, Nigeria. How can I bring home to Edwardsville, Illinois? The answer is in anything that brings comfort, joy & love - A care package!
I started out with the BoardingPac (a care package that focused on snacks from Nigeria) and the UniPac (a care package that focused on snacks here in the states) from there proVpac has launch various other packages. Last year during the pandemic, I really wanted to push proVpac to help college students in more ways than one. A care package is one way to bring home close to you but what else can we do to continue to encourage students. proVpac website was launched and then Pandemic University came along and soon after GAP (Grocery Assistance Program). proVpac is innovative and will continue to grow, it is a platform that will continue to be a resource and a source of encouragement to students everywhere and who knows we may expand our reach to more than students. All in all, I am grateful to you all for supporting proVpac all three years. I am thankful to God for not allowing me the chance to give up and trust me y’all I’ve been very close. For proVpac, this is just the beginning. Happy 3rd birthday baby🎉🥳
